DTN View From the Cab farmer Jamie Harris of Madison, Fla., has been spraying his soybeans for Kudzu bugs to prevent them from spreading Asian rust from nearby Kudzu vines. Meanwhile, in Iowa, Karen and Bill Johnson purchased 10 cow-calf pairs this week to add to their small cattle herd.
Corn is steady at 6 a.m. (CT); soybeans are higher; wheat is steady.
Live and feeder contracts are likely to open moderately higher this morning, supported by follow-though buying and constructive fundamentals. On the other hand, look for the lean hog pit to begin on a mixed basis with prices pulled between residual buying interest and midweek profit taking.
